Visa to Algeria
In order to obtain a visa to Algeria applicants should provide to our Agency the following:
Tourist Visa
- U.S. Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
- 2 Visa Application Forms, fully completed, typed and signed. Original signature required on each page.
- 2 Passport-type photographs required
- Family visit applicants must provide with their application an invitation from their host in Algeria and notarized at the city hall of the place of residence of the Algerian host.
- Copy of airline tickets or itinerary, showing exit from Algeria, and copy of hotel reservation.
Business Visa
- U.S. Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
- 2 Visa Application Forms, fully completed, typed and signed. Original signature required on each page.
- 2 Passport-type photographs required
- A letter of invitation from the host company in Algeria
- Copy of itinerary or air tickets showing onward travel
- A business letter of responsibility (sample) is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to Embassy of Algeria, Visa Section, Washington DC.
The letter must explain all of the following:
- Nature of business to be performed;
- Name and address of reference in Algeria to be visited;
- Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit.
- This letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
Fees and processing time: $140. Visas are processed within 5 business days.
Additional Visa Information: The entry must be made within 45 days from the issue date provided the passport remains valid; the visa is then valid for three months from the first entry date.
